Super Simple Green Smoothie

This is a really healthy green smoothie that is a little sweet – tart. If you still eat sweet foods regularly you may want to add a whole banana until you change your taste for how sweet something needs to be.

I used a Bullet to make my smoothies for a long time until I got a Vita-mix for a birthday gift. Use whatever blender you have. 

This smoothie is a great way to add more greens into your day, especially when you’ve maybe indulged a little too much and want to feel reset.

Use the cup you plan to drink your smoothie from as your measuring device for greens and water. I use the following ingredients but feel free to substitute and get creative:

Earthbound Farms Organic Power Greens –  fill your smoothie cup to the max about 2 large handfuls and add to the blender.

1/2 Banana

2 tblsn Coconut Milk – Unsweetened

1 tblsn Lemon Juice

Water - fill your smoothie cup 2/3 full with water and dump into blender.

I put it all in the blender and blend it up. ***You can use ice cubes if you prefer a cold thicker smoothie, I like mine room temp and more like a juice.

If you want it sweeter add more banana or coconut milk, if you want it more tart, add more lemon.

I know I love this smoothie because I have developed a taste for it, my husband is still not a big fan…so if you try it, don’t be a hater and give up immediately – play with it a little. You will become accustomed to the earthiness of greens and veggies as you add them more and more into your diet.
